PETER ROBSON

I joined the Mercedes Benz Club in June 2017 and have been an active member eversince. My reason for joining was my then recent purchase of a 2011 E Class 350 CDI Coupe. I loved driving the car, having driven Vauxhalls for most of my driving life and owning two BMW’s. Since then, I have owned two CLS’s and now my wife owns her much loved SLK 250. I am a mechanical engineer by trade, and currently working for a Spanish fuel logistics company as a Mechanical Technician. I have spent most of my working life in the fuel industry, mainly in the calibration sector both in this country and in the Middle East. I have been married for twenty-five years and have two daughters, Ella who used to be a club member, but now just attends the odd show, and Leah who has recently turned seventeen, has her own car, and is eager to pass her test to join the rest of us on the road. I have many interests, however my biggest love is cars, F1 and motor vehicle restoration and repairs. I currently own two classic Mercedes 306D flatbed trucks in need of full nut and bolt restoration, and of course the ongoing repairs and servicing of the other vehicles in our household. I have recently accepted the role of joint R.O. with Chris Davies for North Wales and Borders, following in the footsteps from Clive Henderson. I am very looking forward to getting my teeth into this role, but boy do we have big shoes to fill.
